Benefits of Sustainable Business Modelling

Welcome to the Benefits of Sustainable Business Modelling Course

The ability to apply systemic approaches to business models is an essential competency for the future success of businesses and start-ups. More and more, organisations will need to manage relationships and partnerships with multiple stakeholders and also face the larger, systemic challenges posed by climate change and the Earth’s limited resources.

This course is aimed at helping start-ups, established companies, NGOs and public bodies, and trainers/coaches to understand new, systemic approaches to sustainable business model development. It comprises a number of small, online 'learning nuggets' (organised into three key modules) from which you can select the ones best suited to your specific needs.

The course consists of three modules aimed at entrepreneurs and startups.

Module 1 – Introduction to Business Model Innovation

Topics: What is a business model?; Designing business models; Value and its essential role for business models; Vision, context and innovation.

Module 2 – The impact of Climate Change on Business

Topics: Understanding the impact of climate change on business models; Sustainable business models; Risks and opportunities.

Module 3 – A Systemic Perspective on Business Models

Topics: A systemic perspective on business models; Next steps.
