The Catalyst courses bring together professionals/ entrepreneurs facing similar challenges for sharing and transfer of best practice to enhance their projects, strategies and skills on managing innovation. It is a five to six day coached residential workshop, accompanied by online modules. Participants work intensively and in a trans-disciplinary setting on specific “bring your own cases”. Turning your idea into a viable innovation is at the core of the course: Through the application of design thinking and system innovation tools, you will be able to further promote your idea and gain competencies to manage the whole innovation process.

Key questions of the courses shall thereby be:

  • How to successfully manage an innovation process and overcome barriers such as acceptance for change, financing and multi-stakeholder management?
  • How to learn from international experts and peers in order not to reinvent the wheel?
  • How to develop a competency profile for professional innovation management?

The thematical focus will be in the context of the four Climate-KIC themes, namely “Urban Transitions”, “Sustainable Production Systems”, “Decision Metrics and Finance” and “Sustainable Land Use” – or a more generic/ cross sectoral topic on climate innovation. The exact design and thematically focus varies from course to course, so that you are able to choose which training suits best your sectoral interests.

Courses will be held in English and usually focus on a European or International level.
